I’ve had a lot of people asking me where they can get the files to print my FPV modification for the Inspire 2 – I’ve decided to put the stl files online on a donation basis. If you will be getting paid to use these, get us a few beers! If you are just starting out they are free of charge.
The wiring you can see in the pictures – positive and negative wires tapped into on the main power feed wires before they go into the arms. This + and – take off then runs to a 12v pololu step down and on to the air unit. I’ve carefully pulled a tiny amount of the insulation away, soldered to the side of the wire then used tape and a cable tie to make good as you can’t get heat shrink onto the wire – there is probably a better place to tap into the power feed on these drones but I needed it to be here for another application.
You may need to countersink the bottoms of the air unit mounts slighty, and the front lip on the drone where the FPV camera mount goes needs packing with tape to prevent jello. I used PLA with a 40% fill on cura.
Here is a link to the cables to run to the RP-SMA DJI FPV Antennas
And a link to the antennas on the DJI site: here
I use these and two cable ties to hold the 12v pololu step down onto the drone
The pololu is this one: https://www.pololu.com/product/2855
You will also need longer M2.5 bolts for holding the air unit and antenna mounts in place – og length plus width of mount
